Watch History Channel Online
History formerly knows as The History Channel is an international TV station that was launched in January of of 1995. Programming covers a wide range of topics and periods in history. Subjects include conspiracy, military history, modern engineering, biographies, gang culture, drug culture, religious views, reality television and other various topics. Can you watch History Channel online?
Watching the History Channel online in a web browser is not something the network itself offers at this time. There are some options available for those who desire to stream the channel as it is on TV however. If you wish to watch short clips of older shows that the channel features you can head on over to the History YouTube channel. Here you can catch view hundreds of clips from their various show lineups as well as outtakes that never made it to television. There are other options however, please read on.
Beware of scams and sites that will infect your computer
While searching for sites with live streaming of the History Channel I did find a few malicious sites that offered software downloads that would purportedly allow you to watch live streaming of the History Channel. When I downloaded some of this software my antivirus software kicked in and alerted me that the software was malware and it one case it was a trojan virus. No thank you. I think I will pass on that.
I found few sites that had broken video embeds that may have been the History Channel at one time. For whatever reason these streaming video feeds had quit working at one time or another. Webmasters simply abandoned the site and just let it site that to collect ad money in all actuality.
Did I just give up on finding live streaming of the History Channel
Of course not I was dead set on watching my favorite channel from the comfort of my laptop. An hour of searching all over the web tuned up nothing but dead ends and antivirus warnings. By this point I had grown disillusioned to the idea that it would be possible to watch live streaming of the History Channel at all. This is when a friend of mine told me about Stream Direct TV and most importantly that Stream Direct TV would allow live streaming of The History Channel.
Yes!! Finally.. Live Streaming of The History Channel
I purchased a copy of Stream Direct TV and found that the software not only allowed me to stream the History Channel. I was able to stream various versions of it. There was an HD version, a History Channel International, then there were several other streams offering the channel in various languages, Spanish, French, German etc.. I could now watch my favorite channel no matter where I was. Stream Direct TV allowed me to watch The History channel from my desktop and my laptop computer while I was traveling.
In conclusion. If you are wanting to watch the History Channel or any other major network channel on your computer and they don’t offer live streaming themselves, go check out Stream Direct TV. A one time fee and I owned the software. No monthly rebilling ever. Maybe it’s time to cut the cord and get rid of my expensive cable bill for good. Thank you Stream Direct and thank you History Channel for having an awesome network.
